All Mercer Medicine locations offer echocardiogram (EKG) as a tool to assess your heart rate and rhythm. EKG is a simple test using soundwaves that can be used to identify cardiac abnormalities and diagnose medical conditions.

Bone density scanning:

This scan is typically used to measure any bone loss and diagnose osteopetrosis and similar bone and joint conditions.

CT scanning:

Our low-dose CT scanner is used to see all parts of the body and diagnose medical issues and prescribe effective treatment. Low-dose CT scans are the recommended screening for lung cancer early detection (Source).

Nuclear imaging:

This scan uses a small amount of radiation to visualize your body’s systems and diagnose conditions.

Pulmonary function test:

This exam is used to determine how efficiently your lungs are working. The results provide valuable information to help your doctor make an accurate diagnosis and decide on an effective course of treatment.

Ultrasound:

Diagnostic ultrasound uses high-frequency sound waves to produce images of structures within your body. These images are used to diagnose a variety of diseases and conditions.
