Loraine Sumner, MD

Loraine Sumner, MD, is a board-certified internal medicine physician with special interests in geriatrics and preventative medicine. Dr. Sumner is a “double bear”, earning both her bachelor’s degree and medical degree from Mercer University. She lives in Tift County and is a member of Waterloo Baptist Church in Chula, Georgia. Dr. Sumner enjoys Mercer and UGA football and spending time with her cats, Jack and Deveraux. Prior to joining Mercer Medicine, Dr. Sumner practiced internal medicine with Affinity Health Group in Tifton, Georgia for nearly 20 years.

Dr. Sumner practices part-time as a primary care provider at Mercer Medicine Plains and Mercer Medicine Clay County.
