Diane Peterman, MD, FACEP
Family Medicine, Internal Medicine
Dr. Peterman’s path to medicine began unexpectedly during her applied mathematics studies. After a serious knee injury, she became intrigued by the human body and the healing process—an experience that inspired her to pursue a career where she could make a lasting difference in people’s lives.
Dr. Peterman earned her medical degree with honors from New York Medical College and completed her residency in emergency medicine at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, New York.
With over 30 years of experience, Dr. Peterman spent the first two decades of her career in emergency medicine. While she thrived in that fast-paced environment, she eventually felt drawn to primary and urgent care, where she could build deeper relationships with patients and support their long-term health.
Outside of work, Dr. Peterman enjoys the outdoors and spending time with her husband, children, and their beloved dog. After many years in New York, her family relocated in search of a quieter, more fulfilling life—and found their forever home in Lake Country.
