For Patients

At Mercer Medicine, we want your experience to be as comfortable and convenient as possible. That's why we have included helpful information to answer your questions about insurance, forms, and scheduling appointments.

Your Next Appointment

Whether you're a new or an established patient, Mercer Medicine strives to provide an exceptional patient experience. To help your visit go as smoothly as possible, we encourage you to come prepared.

  1. Complete your new patient paperwork before you arrive.
  2. Bring the following to your first appointment.
    • A bag with your current medications (prescription and over-the-counter) and any dietary supplements you are currently using
    • Your current driver's license and/or photo ID
    • Your current insurance ID card
    • Your office visit copay or deductible
  3. Arrive at least 30 minutes before your scheduled appointment. Your appointment time indicates the time your doctor is scheduled to see you. You'll need to allow extra time to park, check in with our front desk, settle any copays, and complete necessary forms. Some providers may require you to reschedule your appointment if you do not arrive with enough time to complete these required tasks.

Policies

Cancellation and No-Show Policy

We understand there are times when you will need to miss an appointment due to unforeseen circumstances. Should this happen, please call us to cancel or reschedule your appointment as soon as possible or at least 24 hours in advance. Appointments not canceled within 24 hours will be considered a no-show. Patients with three (3) or more no-shows are subject to dismissal from our practice.

COVID-19 Policy

To ensure the health and safety of our patients and team members, we've put the following policies in place to prevent the spread of infections:

  • All patients and staff must wear a mask covering their mouth and nose.
  • Each person entering a Mercer Medicine building will be asked about their potential COVID-19 exposure.
  • Anyone with COVID symptoms or known COVID exposure will be asked to reschedule their appointment or complete their visit using telehealth.

Lab Policy

Mercer Medicine has a contract with Quest Diagnostics. If your insurance requires you to use a different lab, you must inform the staff at the time of your appointment. We recommend you verify your coverage directly with your insurance company before your appointment.

We at Mercer Medicine are committed to treating you and your protected health information responsibly. Please refer to our complete HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices to learn about the personal health information we collect, and how and when we use or disclose that information.
