Biography

Dr. Nobles-James received her medical degree from Mercer University School of Medicine in 1998, after graduating with a B.S. in Biology from Valdosta State University in 1994. She completed an Internal Medicine residency at the Medical Center of Central Georgia in 2001. In 2004 she finished a fellowship in Diabetes, Metabolism, and Endocrinology at the University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri. She was faculty at Mercer in the Internal Medicine department from 2004 until 2009 and won the part time faculty of the year award from 2005-2007. Dr. Nobles-James started the inpatient endocrine service at the Medical Center of Central Georgia and ran it from 2012 until 2017. She comes to Mercer Medicine from The Jones Center for Diabetes and Endocrine Wellness in Macon, GA.  She has expertise in treating thyroid disorders including thyroid cancer.  Other areas of interest include adrenal disease, polycystic kidney disease, diabetes, hyperparathyroidism, and pituitary deficiencies and tumors.  At Mercer Medicine, we have the capacity to do thyroid ultrasounds and biopsies and to treat patients with insulin pumps and continuous glucose sensors.
